Chester has been Lynette’s home since the turn of the Millennium, following a move from London, having lived, taught and exhibited there regularly for twenty years. Born and originally educated in Melbourne, Australia, her training in Fine Art Painting is wide ranging, including Post Graduate study, teaching and residential development in London, Italy, Norway, India and California.
Lynette’s paintings encompass a wide variety of mediums – the ancient technique of egg tempera painting and gilding, oil painting as practiced by the Renaissance Masters, and the more modern mediums of watercolour, pastel and pencil, which all provide vehicles through which her absorption in a deeper process is expressed.
Lynette’s paintings bear physical witness to experiences in both the inner and outer realms – the nourishing quality of beauty, nature and her cycles, the wonder of the human figure and being, and the joy and suffering of life.
Two of Lynette’s paintings are part of Chester’s Grosvenor Museum collection, and she has works in public and private collections worldwide. She currently runs Drawing Workshops at Gladstone’s Library, Harwarden, North Wales as well as other venues by invitation in London and throughout the UK.
